The connection between the app and the scale is made via WLAN or an Internet connection. Licensing is coupled to the respective SysTec weighing terminal.

Security aspects play an important role: For example, communication is encrypted using the TLS protocol. In addition, individual device-specific client/server certificates ensure security.
